Dark forest honey from the Himalayan forests above Chamoli, Uttarakhand. Malty, woody and faintly resinous, with a bitter finish, and much less sweet than everyday honey. One harvest a year, from a bloom that lasts only a few weeks.
Enjoy it: drizzled over sharp cheese, on Greek yoghurt with walnuts, in black coffee, on dark chocolate, or slowly off the spoon.
Ingredients: Honey. No added sugar. Forest honey, not chocolate cake.

Most honey tastes the same: sweet, then gone. This one tastes of wood and earth, with a finish closer to molasses than to sugar.

The first spoon usually gets the same reaction: wait, this is honey? Darker, heavier, almost resinous, and much less sweet than you expect.

Just honey. Near black, with a malty, woody taste and a bittersweet finish.
