THE SPOON AFTER DINNER

Something sweet. Not something heavy.

There's a moment after a good meal when you want something sweet. Not a dessert. Just something. Most people open the fridge, find nothing, and settle. This is for that moment.

That sweet craving after dinner

You've eaten well. You want something sweet, not something heavy. One spoon of Gulkand Honey is a dessert in itself. No dessert to make. No plate to wash.

02 / The source story

Gulkand, the way Indian homes made it.

For centuries, rose petals have been preserved slowly into gulkand, the sweet at the end of every wedding paan. We folded it into pure honey. You'll see the petals in the jar.

Two ingredients. Nothing else.

Honey and rose petals. Floral and rose-forward, a little sweeter than plain honey, with a slight tartness from the petals. Thicker than plain honey, so it holds the spoon.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

A little more, in plain words.

Does it have sugar?

No sugar is added. It's honey and rose petals; honey itself is naturally sweet.

Isn't gulkand made with sugar?

Traditionally, often yes. Ours is preserved in honey instead.

Why is it so thick?

The rose petals. It's meant to be spooned, not poured.

It has set in the jar. Is it fake?

Honey can naturally crystallise; crystallisation alone does not establish authenticity. Stand the jar in warm water for 10–15 minutes. Do not microwave.

Can children have it?

Not for infants under 12 months. For older children, a spoon on toast or in milk goes down easily.

Is it vegetarian?

Yes.

Which size should I pick?

120 g to try it; 300 g if it's going to live on your dining table.
